My name’s Andrew Rankine and I have been producing and DJing under the name Tactus since 2008. My past successes include live sessions on BBC Radio 1, numerous international radio sessions, running my own label ABAGA Records, frequent airplay from BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Sub.FM, Dandelion Radio (to name but a few), and lecturing for the MOBO tour about my label and music.
I’ve released music through my own ABAGA Records and other labels including Gradient Audio, Black Lantern Music, Little Rascal Records, C-Front Sounds, and Nerve Breaks. I’ve appeared regularly at club nights all over Edinburgh, have played alongside acts such as Mungo’s Hifi, The Others, Tes La Rok, Flux Pavilion, Remarc and Andy C, and have played at festivals including Eden Festival.
I also run a recording, mixing & mastering business and offer production lessons over at Black Cave Recordings. My other musical projects include metals bands Scumpulse, Tower of Flies and Burt Ward.
